The first book I am going to review is The Boy in the Dress by David Walliams. This book is about a boy who gets suspended by a mean head teacher because he was wearing a dress. I like this book because it is very well written.

The boy in the dress

It is about a boy who is going through a lot because of his mum’s death. He has finally found a friend who does designs for dresses. He dresses up and goes to school. When he is there, he gets suspended by a rude head teacher. After the event, all of his friends come out of the changing room, in a football match, onto the pitch wearing dresses, saying: ‘you can’t suspend us all’. I would definitely recommend this to readers who are 7 and up. This is one of my favourite books, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Gangsta Granny

This book is about a boy who goes to his granny’s house every Friday night for a sleepover. Ben (the boy) is thinking that his granny is ordinary, but he could be wrong. He and his granny stole the queen’s jewels and got hunted down by the neighbourhood watch. Ben must be extremely careful because they are out to get him!!! I recommend this book for 6 and over.

The extremely embarrassing life of Lottie Brooks

If you are into drama and romance [ but level 2 romance, nothing serious], then this is a book for you. It is about a teenage girl, who has a annoying little brother and embarrassing parents and is going through a juicy relationship era. Also, Lottie is in a hard time at school and with boys [ especially BOYS].

Pizza Pete and the perilous potions

Pizza Pete is a book about a boy called Pete and his best friend, Anna. They find a case of potions in the attic of the pizza shop that Pete’s dad owns. The best friends do unknown things with the potions, like they use them as pizza toppings. If you are into adventure and magic, you have found your book to read in your free time. This is a picture of the book I have been describing. Hope you like it!
